All new staff have a mandatory  6 month training/mentoring program to complete prior to becoming a permanent staff person. Discover Magical Moments has two owners on site and ready for questions when needed.  

Choosing Discover Magical Moments Daycare Center, you will receive: our high level of expertise in early childhood education, professionalism at all times, high level of expectations while working with each individual family, our mission to meet and exceed each families’ needs, our teamwork approach with families to childcare which means we support, encourage, and expect parents to share any and all ideas, concepts, and needs with us at all times (the open door theory). All of our Teachers are very well educated and come with many years of experience, and all staff are CPR/First Aid certified as well as trained in OSHA/Blood borne Pathogens, Pandemic Outbreaks, Handwashing, SIDS, Shaken Baby, Medication Administration, Licensing Rule 3, Fire/Tornado drills, health and safety for our child care center, special needs and individual child care plans. Our Director has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and works with other child care centers in a consulting role, is a member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), and is the President of the Southeastern MN Director’s Association for the past few years. We have a Nurse Practitioner and a Red Cross Representative on staff as well. Our families are very important to us and we work closely with all persons involved in each child’s life to ensure all needs are met.

Discover Magical Moments takes pride in its quest for safety and security and has researched many different playground options and decided on a large outdoor play area with the state of the art "Soft Tile Channel Lock" ground covering system, and a large indoor playroom/gym/storm shelter. Our outdoor playground includes both a small and large climbing system, playhouse, water table, sandbox, games area, basketball ring, etc. for many hours of fun outside. And when the weather doesn’t cooperate for outdoors play then we have the indoor playroom/gym/storm shelter to pick from with more options of gross motor activities for all ages. All extra-curricular activities such as dance class, field trips for school-age and preschool groups, sign language, and cooking classes, etc. are all included in our child care rates. We feel strongly that all children who attend Discover Magical Moments should be given the exact same opportunities so we include all activities into our rates. Discover Magical Moments Daycare center also takes pride in following extensive cleaning procedures daily and has a child safety security system in place.
